xxx: target practice

La Nòvia is a lengthy instrumental record by Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. in the year 2000.

i'm not high enough to get into the concise detail of the sounds this album produces, but i will say i greatly regret not hearing this ten years ago when it came out. it felt a lot like hearing Animal Collective's Campfire Songs in its entirety for the first time.

if you want to know more about this album real real bad, then come to here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/reviews/59xm. that'll straighten things out for you.

here i wanted to get into Sleep's Holy Mountain, but now i've become all gushy about Campfire Songs once again. i know this isn't the first time i succumb to the almighty rough recording in a reclusive fondness and sensitivity.

Animal Collective's Campfire Songs will calm your wildest horses and time the crabbiest of lobsters. this record will rub your brain lightly and peel off all your hard outer shell and reveal to you a soft, pulsating flesh riddled with soft fur and wonder. unless all you listen to is "Alternative Rock" radio and "Top 40" dribble, you should have no excuse for letting this record slip by your consciousness.

i cannot believe i'm not high enough to rave about Acid Mothers' record review, it really is an outstanding trance....

meanwhile: Sleep's Holy Mountain is a highly raved about "stoner rock" hallmark. it is heavy and recalls other really heavy music with Black Sabbath influences (Melvins? Boris?). it isn't bad.
