Judge, jury & executioner

*sigh* i want shrooms . . . .
NOTE: Carrington had a cool picture with an egg in it, but i couldn't find it. . . . here's something close, though/
the other day i went to amoeba, i picked up Arthur No. 30 fer the first time in a while. it's so hippie looking and i remember liking how the music reviews were done, and the comics are great/ all around great read. anyway i read an excerpt from this book about the adventures of a 60s mexican filmmaker somewhere in the issue. this guy meets this British surrealist painter Leonora Carrington. man, made me think about surrealists and their otherworldliness.
i mean, she made surrealists uncomfortable, she was so surreal, you know?
apparently this guy Luis Buñuel (of Un Chien Andalou fame) bluntly offered her a good time (*wink wink*) and gave her a key to some room. she went in there and the room looked like a boring motel room, so taking advantage of her active menstruality (is that a word? it is now/) she went all creative and left period blood hand prints all over the walls. the guy apparently never spoke to her again.
hahaha, them surrealists sure know how to have good time . . . .
makes me wanna paint . . . .
